Jock Petrie began his career in the coach industry back in 1970 as a mechanic and occasional driver. It was at this point that Jock realised that this was an industry which he was incredibly passionate about.
In 1974 Jock set up his own business called Black Prince Continental starting with only one rickety coach transporting passengers across Europe.
In 1988 Black Prince had grown considerably and became known as International Coachways
In 1997 Jock bought two hotels in Angus but his love for all things bus related proved too much and in 1999 JP Mini coaches came into existence, again with only one bus!
Over the years JP Mini Coaches became a much larger company and in 2007 the logo was redesigned and the company became known simply as JP Coaches to reflect the businesses shift into the executive travel market.
Today JP Coaches has a fleet of 32 buses and Jock and all his staff continue to ensure that operations always run smoothly.
